I joined a gwenmccreadie.com class in Arbroath, run by Moira Robertson, in the last week of July 2009 after seeing my son’s fiancée who had lost 22 lbs on the Eating Plan. She looked fantastic. I had just come back from holiday but I struggled in the heat. I was overweight and every year I had the usual issues trying to get nice holiday clothes in my size and always made sure I had lots of sarongs to cover my swimming costume. I spent a lot of time in the water just to cool down. In the evenings when we went out I was always far too hot and it certainly showed in the holiday photos.
Since joining I have never looked back. The Eating Plan consists of everyday healthy food. It is the way we cook it and the combination that works. It has certainly worked for me. I got to my target weight after losing 5 stone 1 lb and that was exactly 1 year after I started. I lost 7 ½ inches from my bust, 12 ½ inches from my waist and 11 ½ inches from my hips. I went on holiday in June of 2010 and what a difference – most of my clothes were size 12, some were size 10, and best of all I was able to wear bikinis and not worry about having to cover myself up. I had a fantastic holiday and was proud of my photos for a change!
It is now several months since I reached my target weight and I am maintaining this. I go to class every week and mostly stay for the talk. I think this is the best thing to do to keep me on track. You pick up so many tips from Moira and also from the other members and it’s great to see how everyone is getting on. I feel like a different person and have so much energy and confidence.
