On retiring in June 2009 I was diagnosed with cancer so spent the first six months of retirement 'keeping fit' by flitting from one appointment to another. It wasn't until I was given the all clear in January of 2010 that I noticed the pounds gradually creeping on. My lifestyle didn't include much exercise. I was even jumping on a bus with my bus pass where I would have once walked. I only needed to lose a few pounds and thank the day I heard about Gwen McCreadie. My hairdresser, who had lost 3.5 stones at the time and since lost another stone, told me how she had done it and on 9/12/10 I attended my first meeting weighing 10st.2lb with a target weight of 9st.5lb in mind. Seven meetings on I weigh 9st 5lb and have a 30" waist which is considered healthy; my 33" waist had not been. Apart from looking better, I feel so much better. Because I have enjoyed following the healthy eating plan, finding it simple, tasty and inexpensive, I intend to carry on with it, not to lose weight this time but to feel healthy. I will most probably still attend the meetings as I'm learning so much about health in a friendly way. As you are allowed to eat as much as you like of certain foods I never felt hungry so by slightly increasing my calories with treats I can maintain my weight and not lose anymore. I have never felt better. Thanks Gwen, I would recommend your eating plan to anybody.
