Karen Deuchars

Hi, my name is Karen Deuchars. I joined Gwen McCreadie in February 2009 weighing 13st 4lbs. I initially went thinking I could get a little weight off for my holiday that was planned for April.

I had done other diets in the past and would be great at the start and lose some weight but the minute I came off the diet I would put it all back on and more! I had never tried the Gwen McCreadie Eating Plan before so I didn’t know what to expect but right from Day 1 I loved it. I could eat plenty and not have to count calories or checks and never found myself hungry. As the weight came off I started feeling better and had more energy and motivation than ever before. People started to notice the change in my weight and the support and compliments I received from friends, family and colleagues was amazing.

It was like a dream come true. I was eating good, tasty food from the Eating Plan and losing weight. I can only describe it as effortless. I lost weight every week and continued to stay at class for the talks as they were so helpful and informative.

I found myself doing things I would never have done before like going cycling with the kids and walking at nights. By September 2009 I had reached my target weight of 9st, losing a total of 4st 4lbs. I remember someone asked me ‘are you more confident now’ and at the time I answered ‘No’ because I thought I had always been a confident person but I would definitely change that answer now because I continue to change my lifestyle and follow the Gwen McCreadie Eating Plan and can’t believe the benefits from this to my life. I enjoy it so much I am now a class advisor. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of losing weight to give it a go. It really does change your life.
